So of the loyal readers of WillisU have discovered that today is his birthday, others, not so lucky, but I'll fill you in. My boy Brad Willis turned 28 today, a nice rainy day. Actually, today was a great rainy morning. I stepped outside ready to go run and thought to myself, what if I stayed behind, sat on the porch, lit a cigarette and enjoyed this fine morning. Right, I'd get in trouble. Anyway, this isn't about my morning, this is about Brad. They are making him work right now, damn Nazi's, but that doesn't keep him down. Two Rainbows??

This morning as I walk out my door on the way to run a mile and a half to better my fitness standards I noticed a rainbow and its reflection or was it two rainbows. Either way I have never witnessed this in my entire life. The third picture show the second rainbow a little better. This photo was taken at 715am on 31 May 2006. Quake strikes Philippines, no damage

A magnitude 4 undersea earthquake hit the central Philippines early on Monday, a day after two mild quakes shook parts of the archipelago. Authorities said no damage was expected and the temblors were not related to Indonesia's killer quake. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, or Phivolcs, said the pre-dawn quake's epicentre was located 690 kilometres southeast of Manila, off Bohol island. On Sunday afternoon, a magnitude 5.3 quake struck off the Philippines' northernmost Babuyan island group. Hours later, a magnitude 3.3 quake rattled southern Cagayan de Oro city and nearby areas. No damage was reported. "They were weak though some people felt them. They happened separately, and are not connected to the killer quake in Indonesia," Philvolcs chief Renato Solidum told Manila Radio DZBB. He said the Philippines is struck by up to 20 minor earthquakes a day, most of them so weak they are not felt. The Philippines, like Indonesia, is part of the Pacific "Ring of Fire," where earthquakes and volcanic activity are frequent. Memorial Day

Memorial Day takes me back to the time when I had the chance to manage at a food chain by the name of Weinerschnitzel. I was a manager at the time and I got the chance to manage Jason Poindexter. This kid was great. He was funny and entertaining. A few years later after both going our seperate ways we have both joined the US military. I did not find out about his death until a day later. This was a happy go lucky kid from San Angelo Texas. I will never forget him. You paid the ultimate sacrifice for the US to survive. Why couldn't I have taken your place??? I love you man. I salute you Pfc. Jason T. Poindexter!! You will forever be remembered by James Willis. May God bless your soul. The next time you see a US soldier thank him/her for letting you sleep in peace. Poindexter, 20, of San Angelo, Texas, was killed Sept. 12 in hostile action in Iraq, less than a week after he arrived. He was based at Camp Pendleton. Poindexter played football and ran track in high school before graduating in 2002. Westbrook said she tried to talk him out of joining the Marines, but "he made up his mind to do it." He was home in July for two weeks leave. "I wonder now did I spend enough time with him?" Westbrook said. "Did I tell him I loved him enough?" Westbrook said her son reassured her before going to Iraq. "He said for me not to worry, that he was just going over there to do a job and he'd be back in a few months," Westbrook said. Indonesian Quake Survivors

The death toll from the weekend's 6.3-magnitude earthquake, which has been followed by hundreds of aftershocks, stood at about 4,300, and thousands of injured were still being treated in hospitals overflowing with bloodied patients. Torrential rain that fell late Sunday added to the misery of the approximately 200,000 people displaced, most of whom were living in makeshift shelters constructed from plastic, canvas or even cardboard. Saturday's quake was the fourth destructive temblor to hit Indonesia in the last 17 months, including the monster that spawned the Dec. 26, 2004, Asian tsunami that killed 230,000 people, most of them in Indonesia.

First Tropical Storm of the Season: Aletta

Aletta became the first tropical storm of the season in the eastern Pacific on Saturday when it formed about 100 miles south of the Mexican coastal resort of Acapulco. Tropical Storm Aletta had winds of about 40 mph and was expected to reach wind speeds as high as 60 mph. Forecasters were predicting heavy rainfall to the Mexican coast. Indonesia earthquake deaths reach 2,900

BANTUL, Indonesia - A powerful earthquake flattened buildings in central Indonesia early Saturday, killing at least 2,900 people and injuring thousands more in the country's worst disaster since the 2004 tsunami. The magnitude-6.2 quake struck at 5:54 a.m. near the ancient city of Yogyakarta, as most people were sleeping, causing death and damage in many nearby towns. One geologist warned that the temblor could spark a large eruption at nearby Mount Merapi, one of the world's most active volcanoes. Houses, hotels and government buildings collapsed, sending hysterical people running through the streets. Many roads and bridges were destroyed, hindering efforts to get taxis and pickup trucks filled with wounded to hospitals overflowing with patients. Bird flu spreads in Romania

Bird flu continued to spread through Romania with the discovery of 11 new outbreaks including one in the south of the capital Bucharest. Yes I can admit I do watch this show but only in the beginning. You know when they have all the dumbass people who think they can sing an actually think they have a damn chance. Hello dumbfucks have you not see the previous years? If you act a fool your gonna be dropped. After it starts getting serious I can't watch it anymore. But anyway it makes for some great entertainment. Simon has to be my favorite part of the show he has the balls to tell anyone how he really feels. Bin Laden: Moussaoui Wasn't Sept. 11 Conspirator

With a supposed new tape of Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden out stating that Zacarias Moussaoui had no connection with the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the US is the government once again wrong??? Bin Laden's alleged voice claims responsibilities to carry out the attacks were given to 19 men and Moussaoui was not one of them. "He had no connection at all with Sept. 11," the voice said. "I am the one in charge of the 19 brothers and I never assigned brother Zacarias to be with them in that mission." He goes on to say. "Since Zacarias Moussaoui was still learning how to fly, he wasn't No. 20 in the group, as your government has claimed." "Brother Moussaoui was arrested two weeks before the events (of Sept. 11, 2001), and if he had known something — even very little — about the Sept. 11 group, we would have informed the leader of the operation, Mohammad Atta, and the others ... to leave America before being discovered," he said on the tape. The tape will be analyzed by the government, which shouldn't take long, since the intelligence community has a large collection of tapes from bin Laden for voice comparison. The intelligence official told FOX News that "there is no reason to doubt the tapes' authenticity," considering there has never been a fake bin Laden audiotape. Is an innocent man in jail? Released: August 30, 2004 Half of New Yorkers Believe US Leaders Had Foreknowledge of Impending 9-11 Attacks and “Consciously Failed” To Act; 66% Call For New Probe of Unanswered Questions by Congress or New York’s Attorney General, New Zogby International Poll Reveals On the eve of a Republican National Convention invoking 9/11 symbols, sound bytes and imagery, half (49.3%) of New York City residents and 41% of New York citizens overall say that some of our leaders "knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act," according to the poll conducted by Zogby International. The poll of New York residents was conducted from Tuesday August 24 through Thursday August 26, 2004. Overall results have a margin of sampling error of +/-3.5. The poll is the first of its kind conducted in America that surveys attitudes regarding US government complicity in the 9/11 tragedy. Despite the acute legal and political implications of this accusation, nearly 30% of registered Republicans and over 38% of those who described themselves as "very conservative" supported the claim. The charge found very high support among adults under 30 (62.8%), African-Americans (62.5%), Hispanics (60.1%), Asians (59.4%), and "Born Again" Evangelical Christians (47.9%). Self-identified "very liberal" New Yorkers supported a new inquiry by a margin of three to one, but so did half (53%) of "very conservative" citizens across the state. All inquiries about questions, responses and demographics should be directed to Zogby International. Allergy Season

Well here in Texas it's starting to get HOT!!! And in certain parts we get a limited amount of rain. So then the occasional runny nose, congestion, watery-itchy eyes and stuffy nose all have to run their course. But when we do get rain it's just enough to make the grass shoot way up and just enough the get the dust stirred up. National Hurricane Center: 4 to 6 Big Hurricanes Expected This Season Monday, May 22, 2006 MIAMI — A hectic, above-normal tropical storm season could produce between four and six major hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico this year, but conditions don't appear ripe for a repeat of 2005's record activity, the National Hurricane Center predicted Monday. There will be up to 16 named storms, the center predicted, which would be significantly less than last year's record 27. Still, people in coastal regions should prepare for the possibility of major storms, said Max Mayfield, the National Hurricane Center director. "One hurricane hitting where you live is enough to make it a bad season," Mayfield told reporters. Last year, officials predicted 12 to 15 tropical storms, seven to nine of them becoming hurricanes, and three to five of those hurricanes being major, with winds of at least 111 mph. But the season turned out to be much busier, breaking records that had stood since 1851. Last season there were 15 hurricanes, seven of which were Category 3 or higher. In the center's detailed 2006 prediction report, meteorologists said water in the Atlantic is not as warm as it was at this stage in 2005. Warm water is a key fuel for hurricane development. Also, it is not clear whether atmospheric conditions that helped produce the 2005 storms will repeat again this year, forecasters said. And, it appears that the Pacific Ocean water conditions known as El Nino and La Nina will not have any impact on the Atlantic hurricane season this year, forecasters said. The Atlantic seasons were relatively mild from the 1970s through 1994. Since then, all but two years have been above normal. Experts say the world is in the midst of a 20-year-cycle that will continue to bring strong storms. Between 1995 and 2005, the Atlantic season has averaged 15 named storms, just over eight named hurricanes and four major hurricanes, according to the National Hurricane Center. Before this latest above-normal cycle, from 1971 to 1994, there were an average of 8.5 named storms, five hurricanes and just over one major hurricane. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30.

13th human bird flu case in Egypt

GENEVA - The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed on Thursday a 13th human case of bird flu in Egypt, a woman who remains hospitalized in Cairo. The Egyptian health ministry announced the case on Tuesday and the Cairo-based U.S. naval medical research unit, known as NAMRO, has certified the sample tested positive for the H5N1 virus, the WHO said in a statement. The 27-year-old woman, who was hospitalized with pneumonia on May 1, is in “stable condition,” it said. Her infection is linked to exposure to diseased poultry during a recent visit to the Manoufiya province, outside Cairo, it added. “While there, she stayed in a household where numerous chickens were slaughtered.” Egyptian officials said earlier this week that she was being treated with the antiviral Tamiflu. There have now been 206 human cases of bird flu in nine countries including Egypt since late 2003, and 113 deaths, according to the United Nations health agency. Four women have died from bird flu in Egypt since the first human infection was reported in mid-March, a month after the virus was detected in the country. FBI Withholding 84 More Tapes of Pentagon on 9/11

The FBI is withholding at least another 84 surveillance tapes that were seized in the immediate aftermath of the attack on the Pentagon. There is an ongoing lawsuit to get these tapes released via the Freedom of Information Act. With the new video released of Flight 77 many questions are still unanswered. To me the original video shown still leaves doubt that the plane really hit the Pentagon. Wary therefore we are of the potential for the government to eventually release clear footage of the impact from the 84 other cameras that were dotted around the Pentagon and would have easily documented the event to debunk 9/11 skeptics. The government claims all 84 cameras either didn't capture the impact or that tape in the cameras was mysteriously empty and yet returned as normal to film the cleanup operations. Judicial Watch has said it will continue to pursue footage from the other 84 cameras. If the government is telling the truth in saying that the tapes show nothing of interest then what are they trying to hide by not releasing them? Quake Rocks Islands Near New Zealand

The outlook comes after a record-setting hurricane season in 2005 that devastated New Orleans and other coastal cities along the Gulf, and dealt a heavy blow to the U.S. oil industry that sent energy prices to record highs. "The 2006 storm season will be a creeping threat," said AccuWeather Chief Forecaster Joe Bastardi. He projected that five hurricanes, three of them with winds over 110 miles per hour, would hit the U.S. coastline. "Early in the season the Texas Gulf Coast faces the highest likelihood of a hurricane strike, possibly putting Gulf energy production in the line of fire," he said. "As early as July, and through much of the rest of the season, the highest level of risk shifts to the Carolinas." At the tail-end of the season, the Northeast and southern Florida will be most at risk from storms, he said. This year feature fewer named storms than last year's record of 28, but will still be a season of above-average storm frequency, AccuWeather said in the press release. Last year, there were eight tropical storm landfalls in the U.S., including two separate strikes by Katrina as the storm crossed the Florida peninsula and then plowed into the central Gulf Coast in late August. Four of these were major hurricanes - with winds over 110 mph: Dennis, Katrina, Rita and Wilma. Hurricane Katrina was the costliest storm on record, causing more than $80 billion in damage.

Flooding Causing Emergencies in Massachusetts, New Hampshire

Sunday, May 14, 2006 FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Gov. Mitt Romney declared a state of emergency in Massachusetts on Sunday as heavy rain soaked the region flooding basements, closing roads and threatening mud slides. The declaration activates the National Guard and various state services to help communities respond to the storm. "We have in fact had a couple of communities that have experienced some high levels of flooding," Romney said from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency bunker in Framingham. By Sunday morning, Boston had picked up 4.35 inches of rain in 24 hours. Farther north, Newburyport collected 5.83 inches over the same period, according to the National Weather Service. In New Hampshrie, Gov. John Lynch activated the National Guard as torrential rain washed out roads, flowed over dams and forced people from their homes — all while forecasters predicted more heavy rain on the way. 'Jesus of Asparagus'

An interesting story on www.coasttocoastam.com A GARDENER had a revelation when he dug up his asparagus plant and saw the face of Jesus. Martin Gregory was enjoying his Sunday morning gardening when he noticed something quite different about one of his asparagus ferns he removed from a pot. As the 52-year-old laid the 30-inch plant on the grass the sun shone down on the roots and revealed the face of Jesus to him. The part-time mosaic tutor said: "I thought Good gracious! It's the face of Jesus. "It's the most weird thing I have ever seen. "The roots are fantastic. You can actually make out a thorn crown around his head, his eyes and nose. "I've heard about Mother Theresa's face being seen in a bagel but I thought this was much better." Belvedere resident Mr Gregory removed the plant from his pot, which had been in the garden for 10 years, because he thought it was dying. He believed the Christ-like image was caused by the roots being pressed against the stones in the plant pot causing the unusual indentations. He added: "It looked so much like His face it took my breath away. "It has not made me religious. But it could be something supernatural linked to the abbey ruins opposite. "We don't know what's in the ground." Father David Sherratt, of St Michael and All Angels Church, Abbey Wood Road, Abbey Wood, said: "I have often heard of people seeing things. God may want Mr Gregory to interpret what he saw in the plant as a sign."

Chanchu battering parts of the Phillippines

Chanchu is battering parts of the Philippines with damaging winds and torrential, flooding rain. As of late Thursday morning, EDT, Chanchu was a typhoon with highest sustained winds of 85 mph about a center which was near northern Samar Island, or about 325 miles east-southeast of Manila, the national capital; it was moving west-northwestward at 13 mph. Chanchu is forecast to weaken and lose typhoon strength as it passes over the northern half of the Philippine Archipelago. By late Friday or Friday evening, the storm is projected to reach the South China Sea where it will strengthen anew as it moves away from the Philippines. A View from Huygens - Jan. 14, 2005

A movie depicting views from the space probe Huygens as it descended onto the surface of Saturn's moon Titan has just been released... This movie was built with data collected during the 147-minute plunge through Titan's thick orange-brown atmosphere to a soft sandy riverbed by the European Space Agency's Huygens Descent Imager/Spectral Radiometer on Jan. 14, 2005. In 4 minutes and 40 seconds, the movie shows what the probe 'saw' within the few hours of the descent and the landing. On approach, Titan appeared as just a little disk in the sky among the stars, but after landing, the probe's camera resolved little grains of sand millions of times smaller than Titan. Plankton blooms linked to quakes

Phytoplankton blooms can be seen from space.

Concentrations of the natural pigment chlorophyll in coastal waters have been shown to rise prior to earthquakes. These chlorophyll increases are due to blooms of plankton, which use the pigment to convert solar energy to chemical energy via photosynthesis. Tornadoes Tear Through N. Texas, Killing 3

DALLAS - Tornadoes swept through two North Texas towns after dark, tearing apart brick houses and knocking out power in a path of destruction that left three dead and 10 injured, officials said Wednesday. An elderly couple were found dead in a destroyed home in the tiny town of Westminster, while a teenager was found dead at a separate location, Collin County spokeswoman Lee Hornsby said. Tornadoes struck late Tuesday near the towns of Anna and Westminster, about 40 miles north of Dallas, Hornsby said. Tornadoes were also reported in the Texas Panhandle town of Childress and in southeastern Oklahoma, but no injuries were reported. Wildfire Smoke, Fog Causes Traffic Accidents in Florida

Lightning strikes could possibly spark more flames in areas of Florida where wildfires have consumed more than 8,000 acres and destroyed three homes in New Smyrna Beach, officials and forecasters said Tuesday. A quarter-inch of rain brought little relief to firefighters battling about 50 wildfires in parched central Florida on Tuesday, and smoke from the blazes was blamed for auto accidents that killed four people. Cloud Tunnel

"What the hell is that?" (This is what everyone says who sees the photos for the first time.) It's over the state of Washington traveling from N. to South (I was traveling from Canada towards Seattle going South). Chemtrails had been sprayed all morning-- after the sky was completely clouded over, I looked up and saw this strange tunnel type thing. It's difficult to describe how it looked but the closest is to imagine a boat cutting through the sky and this trail is left by the propeller spinning. Lightning rock

Here is an update from www.coasttocoastam.com A friend of mine in Michigan has found these rocks that were formed from lightning strikes. He even witnessed the lightning and retrieved the remains and this is what he discovered. He described a hole at the surface that was around 15 inches then went into a cone like shape into the ground. These are the rocks that were found 3 feet under the ground; he has a piece that goes together piece by piece, as you can see the way he is holding the rocks. Red Jr. now on Jupiter

The official name of this storm is "Oval BA," but "Red Jr." might be better. It's about half the size of the famous Great Red Spot and almost exactly the same color. Oval BA first appeared in the year 2000 when three smaller spots collided and merged. Using Hubble and other telescopes, astronomers watched with great interest. Lava Erupts From Indonesia's Mount Merapi
