First Tropical Storm of the Season: Aletta

Aletta became the first tropical storm of the season in the eastern Pacific on Saturday when it formed about 100 miles south of the Mexican coastal resort of Acapulco. Tropical Storm Aletta had winds of about 40 mph and was expected to reach wind speeds as high as 60 mph. Forecasters were predicting heavy rainfall to the Mexican coast.
