Tornado touches down in NY

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — A tornado touched down in a Buffalo suburb Friday afternoon, flipping a truck driving along the New York State Thruway and a construction trailer with a worker inside. No serious injuries were reported. The funnel cloud was sighted at about 3 p.m. and left a path that was 3 miles long and 100 yards wide, said Steve McLaughlin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/nation/4016769.html
