Cyclone Jacob 'expected to weaken'

Cyclone Jacob has crossed Western Australia's north coast but is expected to quickly weaken below cyclone intensity, the weather bureau says. The category one cyclone crossed the coast between Whim Creek and Port Hedland, bringing heavy rain and winds gusting up to 100 km/h, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said. The bureau forecasts that Jacob will now rapidly weaken below cyclone intensity.
