Magnitude 6.1 - Taiwan Earthquake Breaking News

Taipei -An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Taiwan Friday, but there was no immediate reports of casualties. The epicentre of the quake, which struck about 3:40 p.m. (0740 GMT), was 82.1 kilometres off Ilan on the north-eastern coast and five kilometres under the sea, the Seismological Observation Centre said. The quake was felt throughout Taiwan.
