Geomagnetic flip

Are we prepared for what is known as the geomagnetic flip? The Earths geomagnetic field reverses direction about every 70,000 years. In 70,000 years the poles of the geomagnet will flip and the northerm hemisphere will be magnetic north and the southern hemisphere magnetic south. Following another 70,000 years the poles will again flip to be as they are now.
